HUG (Heavy Utility Gate with Battery Box and Reflective Arm)

The HUG (Heavy Utility Gate) is designed for medium to long-term deployment and features an enclosed battery box, a 9' arm with red/white reflective striping, and heavy-duty adjustable steel pads with anchor holes. It includes a security chain port, urethane coating, a reflective tower package, and a 25' wired pendant. The autonomous gate comes with an onboard battery charger for non-solar models. For enhanced security and visibility, the HUG is equipped with security rings and reflective elements.

Additional options for the HUG include a commercial high-security radio control with two transmitters (capable of accepting up to 25 transmitters), additional transmitters for expanded control, and a 100-watt Grade A polycrystalline solar panel designed to withstand 1-inch diameter hail traveling at terminal velocity, featuring an anodized aluminum frame, HD solar charge regulator, and an adjustable rotating solar panel mount suitable for heavy overcast applications. The gate can also be equipped with an illuminated keypad/card reader with a stainless steel face and blue backlit metal keys, mounted on the tower with fully adjustable parameters. An automatic exit wand sensor with a 50' lead is available for seamless vehicle detection and exit. For non-highway transportation around job sites, a solid wheel kit with removable tires and a removable tongue is offered. The RFID option provides cards and a 40' range for secure access control. Palletizing/packaging is available for easy transport and setup, and a double battery box with harness can be added for extended operational time and reliability.
