SM36-R-HD is a Heavy-Duty Surface Mount Low Profile Traffic Control Barrier designed for vehicle access and speed control in military and industrial applications, preventing unauthorized entry and exit. With a low profile of 2.05 inches and adjustable blade heights from 3.6 to 3.75 inches, it provides robust security with a minimal footprint. It features a durable polyurethane-coated .250 inch (1/4") steel cover plate, with options for thicker plates. The reinforced frame supports up to 40 tons, with shock-absorbing internal bumpers and sound dampening for quiet operation. The sharpened steel blades can be fitted with 3M "Night Bright" reflective material. They are spring-loaded, rust-resistant, and feature a patented counter-balance design. The barrier includes stainless steel torsion springs rated for 50,000 vehicles, variable blade tension, and a proprietary lockdown mechanism, along with a quick latchdown mechanism for securing the blades, ensuring reliable traffic control in high-security environments.
